HP Color Laserjet 5500 Series Tabloid Printers:
In recent years, the cost of 11x17 Capable Color Laser Printers has dropped into the range that small offices and home business can afford. In the past, when a customer would ask for a recommendation on a Tabloid Printer or a Wide Format Color Laserjet Printer, I would bring up the HP Laserjet 8500 Series. Most people would be turned off by the size, speed and eventually the quality of these color laser printers. My printer of choice now is the HP Laserjet 5550DN Q3715A or HP Color Laserjet 5500N C9657A. This series can easily be moved by two people, does not take up nearly as much space, prints at up to 27 Pages Per Minute Color and has great Print Quality. At around $1500, the Refurbished HP 5550dn is a great value or around $1000 for an HP 5500dn Refurb.
